As our electric bikes are manufactured with more powerful motors and batteries, lubricants also have to adapt to the new pressures they are subjected to. Klein has launched 2 research processes that have already been sold to the general public: LUBRICANTS WITH GRAPHENE AND LUBRICANTS WITH PFPE-K ADDITIVE, such as this reference.

PFPE-K Extreme Bio Lubricant Wax, for all terrains. BIODEGRADABLE wax with latest generation additive used in lubricants for aerospace techniques. Using these additives we can separate the wear of the parts for much longer than with ceramic or PTFE-based additives. Due to the increase in forces and torques that occur in E_BIKES, Klein has developed lubricants that meet the demands of the new electric bicycles. To this end, we replaced PTFE and ceramic with the PFPE-K additive. The range of duration, resistance, strength and smoothness is much greater than with conventional additives and is very close to the products we use with pure graphene additive. Finding the best lubricant for a bicycle chain is a real challenge for us.
